康業作為負責任的企業,積極履行企業社會責任,關顧員工、顧客、合作夥伴以及社會大眾,積極參與社區服務,向有需要弱勢社群伸出援手,支持不同社區團體,致力推動構建可持續發展健全社會,建立美好和諧社區。
康業自2001年成立義工隊以來,一直熱心參與各項義工服務。在二十年期間,義工人數不斷增加,現時共組成了共52支義工分隊及聯號公司義工隊,服務範疇既廣且深。參與的活動超過1,460次,接近1560人次參與,累積義工服務時數接近790,000小時。成績令人鼓舞。
Hong Yip has been holding the “PEACEBOX” campaign since the Easter of 2014 through a tiny shoe box where love and greetings can be carried throughout the city. This box is a channel to convey care and love on top of the materialistic support.
Hong Yip values talent development greatly. We have continuously supported the “YUM Youth Upward Mobility Mentorship” program by Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor.
Hong Yip has been holding the “PEACEBOX” campaign since the Easter of 2014 through a tiny shoe box where love and greetings can be carried throughout the city. This box is a channel to convey care and love on top of the materialistic support. In the past ten years, we have gifted PeaceBox that included daily necessities, food, toys, stationery and medical supplies as a unique and sincere present for people in poverty, illness and vulnerability during festivals.
It has been up and running for ten years since 2014, which has seen the participation of over 20,000 volunteers. The numbers involved has exceeded 250,000. We have delivered presents to the needy such as grassroots and single elderlies through home visits and various activities, spreading our blessings across the city. We hope to use every gift set through PeaceBox to alleviate the heavy burdens of the grassroots, homeless and single elderlies, while also giving them care and support. We hope that they can feel warmth, kindness and the bliss of mutual care amidst turmoil and challenges.
Hong Yip values talent development greatly. We have continuously supported the “YUM Youth Upward Mobility Mentorship” program by Hong Kong Church Network for the Poor. The program aims to provide career pathways outside of higher education for the youth. Hong Yip plays the role of offering them a platform for work training, mentoring and education resources. The mentees will receive mentors’ guidance and support from the mentorship scheme, building their workplace abilities and soft skills, nurturing habits of self-advancements, building up their positive values in life and motivating their upward mobility desire.
Many mentees have acquired valuable working skills through the training program of our company. They can also receive financial subsidy for courses on relevant career pathways. We strongly encourage our mentees to sustain habits of self-advancements and learning to raise competitiveness. The YUM Program aims to alleviate inter-generational poverty for society and wealth disparity in the long-run.
